How to read nancy is the best book ever written about comics. No question. I don’t think there’s another book that covers all of those facets, all of which are integral to the comics of the 20th century and few of which have been told. Pin it comic-con via youtube the annual and original comic-con , which draws thousands of fans and millions of dollars to san diego each july, has retooled in the covid-19 world to engineer comic-con@home, with the confab’s first-ever virtual-only event kicking off in earnest thursday morning. The event, which officially began wednesday, july 22 and runs through sunday, july 26, will play host more than 350 panels and programs via youtube including the usual slew of presentations highlighting hollywood studios and networks’ genre film and tv fare. The master reading orders are meant to cover the entire history of a particular comic universe. We have master reading orders for both marvel and dc comics. Even with the “bad” comics removed these orders are still several thousand issues long. They encompass all characters and events. If you choose to read one of these reading orders you should feel free to skip characters and events you have no interest in and focus on the ones you do.

You should know what your characters need to accomplish in the smaller stories that can eventually create the larger goal of your comic. You need to know who says what and why. Make sure you have a beginning, a middle, and an end so the reader doesn't feel confused or left hanging. However, ending an issue with a jaw dropping cliff hanger is a sure fire way to get people to buy the next issue. This is a fine line to tread because if nothing substantial is accomplished, people will stop caring, on the other hand, nothing but action can get stale if there isn't a larger purpose.
